Compensation Expectation: $80 – 100/hr
What You’ll Do As a Sr Data Architect:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to understand data requirements and develop data strategies that align with business goals
- Lead the design and implementation of data architectures, including semantic and dimensional models, that enable efficient storage, retrieval, and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain documentation, such as data standards, governance policies, and best practices, to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
- Work closely with data engineers and data product managers to implement scalable data analytical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data architecture and drive innovation.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to build technical expertise and drive continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on best practices and standards for data architecture.
- Design and implement business analytics and data science data architectures. These are tailored solutions to complex problems.
Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, business intelligence, report development, and data modeling
- Strong expertise in semantic modeling, dimensional modeling, and industry-standard data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse preferred
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
- Expert Proficiency in SQL
- Data modeling experience with Erwin, SQL Workbench, or something similar
