Job Title: Product Owner
Location: Anaheim, CA – Onsite 4 days a week

Compensation Expectation: $130,000 – $170,000

What You'll Do As a Product Owner:
  • Daily Standups: Facilitate daily standup meetings to review open incidents, discuss upcoming changes, and address any questions related to upcoming sprint work. Ensure that any blockers are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Full Product Support: Take full ownership of the product, including being available 24/7 when necessary to triage and resolve incidents.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the management of open incidents, ensuring they are prioritized and addressed within the sprint or escalated when necessary.
  • Sprint Planning: Lead the sprint planning process by clearly defining sprint goals, prioritizing backlog items, and ensuring the development team understands the work to be done.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and team capacity. Continuously refine and update the backlog to reflect changes in project scope and priorities.
  • Business Partner Meetings: Organize and run meetings with business partners who use the software, gathering feedback, understanding their needs, and aligning development efforts with their expectations.
  • Sprint Demos: Support sprint demos along with Tech Lead to showcase completed work to stakeholders, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between the offshore development team and stakeholders. Ensure clear, consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, support the primary product manager to define product vision, and align development efforts with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the final product meets the agreed-upon requirements and quality standards by coordinating testing efforts and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the Agile framework and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, with a proven track record of managing offshore development teams
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with hands-on experience in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups
  • Familiarity with software development processes and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a remote team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent project management software.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in managing distributed teams across different time zones
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification
    • Previous experience in incident management and change control processes
