Compensation Expectation: $70 – 90/hr
What You’ll Do As a Front End Engineer:
- Play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that enable visual effects artists, production teams, and executives across all the Studio’s banners to creatively and efficiently tell their stories
- Collaborating closely with a team of skilled engineers and subject matter experts, you will contribute to building robust applications that drive our creative endeavors forward
- You will be instrumental in building applications across various platforms, including the Apple Vision Pro, all with the goal of helping our Studio make our films
- Collaborate with a team of software engineers and subject matter experts to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions for production workflows
- Work with fellow engineers to create smooth, efficient, and dynamic user experiences
- Prioritize and estimate work within an agile scrum process using user stories
- Troubleshoot issues and implement defect fixes
Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript / ReactJS or similar front end framework.
- Knowledge and experience using source control and CI tools such as GitLab and GitHub
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with databases, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience in working with Cloud Platforms, particularly AWS or Azure
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
